Press Release
THE ACE CAFE REUNION’S Brighton Burn Up notches up a record attendance, whilst basking in late summer sunshine.
Ace Cafe London’s annual Reunion and Brighton Burn Up scaled new heights this year with an estimated 160,000 + attendance.
Riders and motorcycle enthusiasts gathered from all over the UK and continental Europe for what is now widely recognised as the world’s largest and “coolest” motorcycle event.
Brighton 9th September 2007: Now into its 14th year, Ace Cafe London’s annual pilgrimage to Brighton has grown from a casual gathering into one of the country’s most significant one day events.
Fully reopened in September 2001 by Mark Wilsmore; the “Ace” has become the global icon of the spirit of the freewheeling motorcycle enthusiast and is represented throughout mainland Europe, Japan and the United States. This year saw a strong representation of manufacturers and dealers taking space at the event, all of whom praised the attendance and organisation. Amongst the major stands on display were Triumph, Ducati, Michelin, Yamaha, BMW, Kawasaki, the Highways Agency and Carole Nash.
This also was the first major event to make use of ESN, the new event support network set up by Chris Gothard. Mark Wilsmore commented “The enthusiasm and expertise, matched with professionalism, that comes with Chris and ESN, has been proven. With 2008 being the 70th Anniversary year of the cafe, we now look forward to building on this flying start”. Gothard said, “It’s been great working with Mark and the team at the Ace. The Ace Cafe Reunion and Brighton Burn Up are two of the most exciting events I have been involved with and a great launch pad for the new venture. We are developing great plans for the future and I am looking forward to working with Mark for many years to come. ***ENDS***
